If a large-scale PV power plant lacks the link of lightning protection and grounding, once the PV system equipment is struck by lightning, the PV power plant may be damaged by photovoltaic modules and inverters, which will bring serious consequences to the operation of the photovoltaic power plant system.
In general, grounding systems for photovoltaic power plants fall into two categories: strong grounding and weak grounding.
Strong grounding mainly refers to lightning protection grounding;
Weak grounding mainly refers to the working ground and safety ground.
Different types of grounding schemes require different requirements.
Grounding is the most important link in lightning protection technology. Whether it is direct lightning, inductive lightning, or other forms of lightning, the plan is to connect lightning current to the earth. Therefore, a reliable grounding device can effectively achieve the successful lightning protection of photovoltaic power plants!
With respect to grounding lightning protection, the following points need to be noted:
First of all, the buried lead wires and grounding devices should be placed wherever people can walk or rarely go to avoid step voltage hazards, and care must be taken to maintain a certain distance between the grounding body and the metal body or cable if the distance Not enough, they should be connected into electrical pathways to avoid breakdown!
Secondly, the place where the grounding body is buried should be chosen where the moisture or soil resistivity is low, and it is easier to meet the grounding resistance requirements. At the same time, we must try to avoid places with corrosive substances and avoid excessive corrosion of the grounding system!
Third, we must ensure the reliability of the grounding scheme structure! The connecting part must be welded or gas welded. Solder cannot be used! When the site can not be welded, riveting or bolting can be used, to ensure that the contact surface above 10cm2!
Fourth, the grounding body is preferably buried at a depth of 0.5~0.8m.
Fifth, the backfill must be compacted.
Sixth, the construction team needs to hold certificates.
