Fast-heating electric water heaters with frequent safety incidents are expected to be regulated. The reporter was informed yesterday that the revision of the National Standard for Fast-heating Water Heaters, revised by eight companies including Guangzhou Autelang, has been successfully completed and will be promulgated in the near future. A large number of “family-style†and “workshop-style†factories in the fast-heating electric water heater industry may be eliminated.
It is understood that the annual demand for domestic fast-heat electric water heaters is between 600,000 and 800,000 units, but the market share is less than 5% of the entire water heater industry. This is mainly due to the lack of national standards. After the introduction of the national standard, strict requirements will be made on the test method, test conditions, safe life of the water heater, and calculation method of heating efficiency of the hot-heat electric water heater in the constant temperature (blog) electric water heater.
