On January 9th, the 2009 Spring Industry New Year Group meeting organized by China Stone Industry Association was held at Beijing China Architecture Exhibition Center. Zou Chuansheng, President of China Stone Industry Association, Vice President Liu Zhiping, An Fengzhan, Secretary General Liu Jianhua, National Building Materials Director of the Exhibition Center, Sheng Meixin, He Yanming, Secretary General of the National Federation of Industry and Commerce Stone Industry Chamber of Commerce, and some veteran comrades in the industry and more than 40 stone enterprise CEOs in Beijing attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Deng Huiqing, deputy secretary general of China Stone Industry Association.
At the group meeting, President Zou Chuansheng first expressed his blessing to the national stone industry colleagues on behalf of the association, and informed the basic operation of the whole industry in 2008: in 2008, from the production point of view, there is growth, and economic benefits and Compared with January-October, the growth rate of exports has declined. In 2008, with the support of the China Building Materials Federation and relevant functional departments, the association, together with the government departments and key enterprises in the relevant regions, finally achieved three favorable policies for the industry after repeated communication and reflection with the national authorities. First, the import of blocks from the taxation of 4% to zero, and second, the tax rebate for stone products increased to 9%, the third is the problem of unfair treatment that has plagued the company's import and export inspection of marble for nearly three years. These three hard-won favorable policies have created better external conditions for stone enterprises. Zou Chuansheng called on the whole industry to expand the market for domestic demand, make good use of policies to expand new areas of product export, correctly handle the relationship between good policies and structural adjustments in the process of ensuring growth, meet challenges, overcome difficulties, and promote the overall improvement of the industry.

The real estate industry is related to people's livelihood, and its time span may exceed people's expectations, so it is necessary to be better prepared. As a stone industry, we must pay close attention to the upstream industry--the development trend of the real estate industry, accelerate the transition from extensive to service-oriented, and improve the production, operation and living environment of enterprises through crisis.
An Fengzhan, chairman and vice president of Hebei Xingshuo Saw Industry, expressed more optimism and confidence in overcoming the current financial crisis. In his speech, he said that with the acceleration of the national legislative process and the continuous improvement of policies, the environment of industrial enterprises will get better and better. China's urbanization process is a long-term goal, which will certainly provide a broad market space for the stone industry.
