Autumn vegetables need more calcium and less chlorine

Autumn vegetables, especially autumn delayed vegetables, are prone to calcium deficiency. Should pay attention to calcium, not more than containing chlorinated fertilizer.
The general symptoms of calcium deficiency in vegetables are new parts such as apical buds, root hair growth stagnation, atrophy and death, new leaves adhesion, new leaves often open, and incompleteness; the top of the fruit is sunken, dark brown and necrotic. The reason for calcium deficiency is that the soil itself is deficient in calcium; the soil has high salt content, which inhibits the roots from absorbing water and nutrients; the soil drought increases the concentration of soil solution, reduces the water absorption of roots, and thus inhibits the absorption of calcium; excessive application of ammonium nitrogen Inhibition of calcium absorption, the incidence of Chinese cabbage dry heart disease increased with the increase of nitrogen fertilizer application.
To prevent calcium deficiency in autumn vegetables, the amount of fertilizer should be controlled. It is not advisable to use too much fertilizer at one time, especially with chlorinated fertilizers such as ammonium chloride and potassium chloride; timely irrigation to prevent soil drought, and foliar application of 0.3-0.5% calcium nitrate, Once every 7 days, even spray 2-3 times. Tomatoes should be sprayed on 2-3 leaves above and below the inflorescence during flowering, and Chinese cabbage can be sprayed when entering the ball-forming stage.
