Energy saving and innovation of power station pumps

【Abstract】The three main power station pumps (boiler feed water pump, cooling circulating water pump and condensate pump) are taken as research objects. The product characteristics and innovations of KSB power station pump are introduced, and the ways to improve pump efficiency are expounded. I. Introduction

Energy conservation and consumption reduction is an important measure to ensure the healthy and sustainable development of China's national economy. The energy industry has an important strategic position in the national economy. It must adhere to the priority of energy conservation and reduce the development of energy consumption. In recent years, with the implementation of a batch of large-capacity thermal power units and the implementation of the electricity market bidding policy, the power grid has become more and more demanding for the generators to participate in peak shaving, and the load of most power plants is declining. Many Large-capacity units are also involved in peak-shaving operation or load-shedding operation, which makes power consumption and power consumption rate of power plants tend to increase, and energy saving and consumption reduction of power plants face new opportunities and challenges. Relying on technological innovation and using effective energy-saving technologies is the only way for power plants to achieve energy conservation and consumption reduction goals.

In the auxiliary equipment of power plants, boiler feed water pump, circulating water pump and condensate pump are called three major pumps, which are important auxiliary equipment and also the main energy-consuming equipment. The rated power of the drive of the three major power station pumps is shown in the table below. Taking a 50% capacity 1 000 MW unit boiler feed pump as an example, a 25 MW drive rated power is required, the pump unit operating efficiency is increased by 1%, and one year (in 8 000 h) can save about 2 million kW·h. It can be seen that the research and practice of energy saving and innovation of power station pumps is very necessary and effective for realizing energy saving and consumption reduction of power plants and improving the economics of unit operation.

The world power station market has shown a trend towards large capacity, supercritical/ultra-supercritical units. The newly built generator set in China is mainly composed of 600MW subcritical/supercritical and 1 000MW supercritical/ultra-supercritical units. It provides guarantees and conditions for the energy saving and power station equipment innovation and power station equipment innovation.
