Domestic non-ferrous metals companies have a poor profitability

According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the first quarter of 2013, the total profit of more than 8,403 non-ferrous metal companies in China reached 29.4 billion yuan.

The first-quarter earnings of state-owned companies fell 74.9% year-on-year. At the same time, the profits of private companies rose by 13.8% year-on-year.

Although the aluminum smelter and alumina refinery were in a loss state and lost 301.98 billion yuan, the loss was 1.1 billion yuan less than last year.

There is good news in the Chinese manufacturing sector. According to records, the profits of 4,546 companies grew steadily, by 12.9%, to 15.4 billion yuan.

The National Bureau of Statistics also stated that of the 8403 companies surveyed, 2002 were at a loss. The losses of state-owned companies and state-controlled companies accounted for 53.9% of the total loss, an increase of 1% year-on-year.

The company's assets rose 16.02% year-on-year, but its liabilities also rose 17.05% to 18.917 billion yuan.
