Zhangjiajie launched a special rectification of anti-fall

From mid-May to mid-July, Zhangjiajie City's Qiaoan District launched a two-month special campaign aimed at improving the safety of ongoing traffic engineering projects. The initiative focused on preventing collapses, falls, and the elimination of the "three violations" (violations of regulations, procedures, and labor discipline). The goal was to strengthen the safety management responsibilities of construction units, reinforce the "dual foundation" of enterprise safety, and enhance the standardization of construction site safety. By addressing these issues, the campaign aimed to establish a long-term mechanism that would prevent collapses, reduce fall risks, and effectively curb safety accidents in traffic construction projects.

Key areas for anti-collapse measures included deep foundation pit excavation and support, lifting and installation of large precast components like beams and slabs, construction of bridge hanging baskets and flyover bridges, tunnel face excavation and anchoring, as well as initial support and secondary lining. The focus also extended to various types of lifting equipment, full scaffolding systems, and large formwork supports used on-site. For anti-fall prevention, the emphasis was placed on the installation and dismantling of lifting machinery, scaffolding, formwork systems, and external elevators. Special attention was given to edge work, opening operations, water-related tasks, climbing activities, and personnel access routes. Regarding the "three violations" behavior, the campaign targeted issues such as poor implementation of safety responsibility systems, lack of proper plans for high-risk projects, failure to inspect and approve special equipment, and insufficient training for workers. It also addressed illegal use of cranes to transport people, improper handling of civilian explosives, and lack of professional supervision during lifting and installation operations.
