Daily maintenance skills after home improvement

1. When the house is unoccupied, make sure to turn off the main water, electricity, and gas valves to ensure safety and prevent any accidental damage. In case of rain or snow, close the windows promptly to avoid water entering the room. If the temperature drops below freezing, pay attention to insulating the water pipes and consider closing the main water supply line to prevent freezing and bursting.

2. Before checking in, it's recommended to ventilate the room for a while. If the house will be empty for an extended period, arrange for staff to open the windows regularly (but not during nighttime, rainy, snowy, or windy weather) to maintain good air circulation and improve indoor air quality.

3. Keep the floor drain on the open balcony clear at all times. During heavy rain, check if there is standing water on the balcony floor and ensure the drain is functioning properly. This helps prevent rainwater from seeping into the living area.

4. Regularly inspect the water supply and drainage pipes for leaks. If you notice any, report them immediately. Avoid hitting or hanging items on sink or basin drains, and do not stack objects on top of them, as this could cause the drain to fall off and lead to water leakage.

5. When using the air conditioner in your new home, avoid directing cold or warm air at the same spot for too long. It’s also important to maintain proper humidity levels indoors to protect walls and floors from damage caused by excessive dryness or moisture.

6. Check the water outlets on the lower parts of plastic frames and aluminum alloy doors and windows (on the outside) to ensure rainwater can drain properly. This prevents water from pooling around the window sills or door frames.

7. If you notice any gaps or detachment in silicone seals—such as around the sink, bathtub, toilet, shower area, or between the wall and floor—make sure to repair them promptly to avoid water seepage and damage.

8. When using the bathtub, shower area, or sink, try to prevent hair, dirt, or other debris from falling into the drain or floor drain. Clean these areas regularly. If a blockage occurs, contact professional plumbers immediately to clear it and avoid further damage or costly repairs.

9. For natural wood or composite flooring, use a semi-dry mop for cleaning. Avoid using large amounts of water, as this may cause the floor to warp or swell. Floors near windows or balconies that are exposed to direct sunlight may crack over time—consider covering them partially to reduce exposure. It's recommended to wax natural wood floors every 1–2 months to maintain their appearance and durability.

10. When using artificial stone or marble countertops, be careful to avoid staining from colored liquids or powders like soy sauce or curry. Wipe up spills immediately. Do not place heavy objects or stand on these surfaces, as they may crack or break. Avoid sudden temperature changes, especially when placing hot pots directly on the countertop. Always use a trivet for hot items. Also, avoid using steel wool or abrasive pads on the countertops or acrylic bathtubs, as they can scratch the surface.

Super Abrasives

Superabrasives come in the form of grinding wheels and are used when the material being processed is either too hard or too delicate for regular abrasives.

Industrial diamonds are one of the most common materials used to create the grinding material. Contrary to popular belief, diamonds are not as rare as marketing campaigns will tell you.

After diamonds, cubic boron nitride is the second more durable material for cutting. This is followed by polycrystalline.

The most obvious advantage is that these Grinding Wheels are extremely hard and durable. This allows them to give better performance and greater longevity over regular abrasives.

When your wheel lasts longer you will see reduced costs for fixtures and tooling. This opens up your budget up to investing in more machines.

You will notice that the wear and cuts on your materials will be even. Because the abrasiveness of the wheel is so strong, it doesn`t develop uneven worn away spots as quickly as regular abrasive wheels.

So the output from your production will be consistent. So your manufacturing efforts will produce reliable and consistent results.

It can be tough to justify the upfront increased costs of superabrasive wheels. But the durability and quality of their production output make them well worth it.

But you`ll quickly realize that your productivity has increased by using superabrasives. You will have more parts processed per wheel and fewer wheel changes.

Kemei produces both conventional grinding wheel and super abrasive grinding wheels, such as white aluminum grinding wheel, pink wheel ,green silicon wheel, diamond grinding wheel and CBN grinding wheels.
