Abstract Recently, the Zhengzhou Sanmao Research Institute carried out a two-day internal audit of its quality, environmental, and occupational health and safety management systems. The main objective of this audit was to evaluate whether the institute’s QMS (Quality Management System), EMS (Environmental Management System), and OHSMS (Occupational Health and Safety Management System) meet the required standards and are effectively implemented and maintained. This process aims to lay a strong foundation for successfully obtaining the certification of these management systems this year.
To ensure a thorough review, the institute invited experts from Huaxin Technology Inspection Co., Ltd., who specialize in Q/E/O management system consulting, to guide the audit. During the internal audit, the auditors were organized into three teams, each responsible for reviewing different departments across the institute. They examined past internal and external audit findings from 2011 and 2012 to prevent recurring issues. In addition to identifying problems, the consultants also helped uncover potential weaknesses in the environmental and occupational health and safety management systems.
The consulting team provided detailed feedback and constructive suggestions regarding the current status of the Sanmao Institute. Following the audit, the Quality Work Department will compile all the issues raised by the experts and the audit teams, set clear corrective actions, and hold an internal audit rectification meeting on March 28th. At this meeting, specific plans for addressing the identified issues will be presented and approved. This comprehensive approach reflects the institute's commitment to continuous improvement and compliance with international management system standards.
