According to surveys, when the temperature in the northeastern winter is below -30°C, the production of oil wells that have stopped production due to belt slippage (displacement) is about 5,000, and the direct economic loss exceeds 100 million yuan. The oil wells that had not been shut down were also slippery (displaced) due to loose belts, and the oil rate in general appeared to drop significantly, and the annual loss was estimated to exceed 200 million yuan. Even if the temperature is normal, the belt is loose and slippery (discarded) in the event of rain and snow, and the efficiency is also falling rapidly, resulting in an annual comprehensive loss of more than 300 million yuan. At the same time, in the crude oil production cost of oil fields, the pumping and electromechanical expenses account for about 30%. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out technological transformation of energy saving and efficiency improvement for pumping units.

"In order to improve the efficiency of China's oil extraction and reduce the cost of exploitation, we have given full play to the company's technological advantages accumulated over the years and have invested more than 10 million yuan to focus R&D efforts on accelerating the research and development of oil field pumping unit belt transmission elastic tensioners." The high-performance plane scroll spring used in the key parts of the elastic tensioning device with a (chain) transmission is a special requirement for a flat scroll spring with low consumption and long service life.

After the successful development of oil field pumping unit belt transmission elastic tensioner, it has passed several technical tests in Shengli Oilfield and Jiangsu Oilfield, and has rapidly demonstrated in Jiangsu Oilfield.
