The torch is the primary tool for gas cutting workpieces. So how should the torch be used correctly, and how to solve related problems in use? Let me come together for you:
(1) Choose the right cutting tip
The appropriate cutting tip should be selected according to the thickness of the cut workpiece. When assembling the cutting tip, the inner and outer nozzles must be kept concentric so as to ensure that the cutting oxygen jet is at the center of the preheating flame, and the cutting nut should be tightened when installing the cutting nozzle.
    ( 2 ) Treatment of air leakage from the cutting core
Preheating flame adjusted properly, the hair cutting tip rhythmic "pit, pit" sound, but the flame is not extinguished, while if a large open cutting oxygen, the flame extinguished immediately, the reason is the core of the cutting tip leakage. At this point, the cutting nozzle jacket should be removed and the core should be gently tightened. If it is still ineffective, remove the jacket and use an asbestos rope.
( 3 ) Check the shooting situation
After the injection-type cutting torch is inspected normally, the acetylene tube can be connected, so as to be airtight and easy to insert and unplug. When using an isobaric torch, ensure that acetylene has a certain working pressure.
    ( 4 ) Treatment of tempering
When tempering occurs, immediately close the cutting oxygen regulator valve, then close the acetylene regulator valve and the preheating oxygen regulator valve. When the normal operation is stopped, the oxygen regulating valve should be closed first, and then the acetylene and preheating oxygen regulating valve should be closed.
( 5 ) Treatment of flame extinction
After ignition, when the preheating oxygen regulating valve is adjusted to adjust the flame, if the flame is extinguished immediately, the reason is that there is dirt in the gas passages or the contact of the nozzle of the suction pipe is not strict, and the cutting nozzle casing and the inner mouth are improperly matched. At this time, the suction pipe nut should be tightened; when it is invalid, the suction pipe should be removed, the dirt in each gas passage should be removed, and the gap between the cutting casing and the inner sleeve should be adjusted and tightened.
( 6 ) The processing of the cutting head and the torch is not strict
Although the flame is normal after ignition, when the cutting oxygen regulating valve is opened, the flame is extinguished immediately. The reason is that the cutting head and the torch are matched, and the joint is not strict. At this time, the cutting nozzle should be tightened. When it is invalid, the cutting nozzle should be removed and lightened with fine sandpaper. Grind the cutting head to match the surface until it fits tightly.
(7) Keep the cutting nozzle clean
The cutting nozzle channel should always be clean and smooth, and the dirt in the tunnel should be cleaned with a needle at any time.
(8) Clean the surface of the workpiece
Thick rust, oil and water stains on the surface of the workpiece should be removed. When cutting on the concrete floor, the workpiece should be raised to prevent the scale and slag from splashing on the concrete floor. Â Â
