Cultivation of ornamental aloe notes

Precautions for cultivation of ornamental aloe :

Aloe vera prefers a warm, dry, semi-shade environment. Not cold-resistant, afraid of high temperature and humidity, avoid glare exposure, suitable for growth in bright light and no direct sunlight. Plants grow slowly or completely stop at high temperatures in summer, and should be kept in a cool and ventilated place. Watering should not be too much to prevent plant rot caused by hot and humid conditions. Spring, autumn and early summer are the strong period of plant growth. Keep the soil moist and not water, and apply a decadent thin liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer every 20 days. In the sunny room in winter, you can continue to water at 10 °C, and apply some thin fertilizer to grow the plants as appropriate; if you control the watering, the plants will enter the dormant period and can withstand the low temperature of 3 °C to 5 °C.

Each season, the basin is changed once a year. The potting soil is loose and fertile, has good drainage and permeability, and contains appropriate amount of lime. It can be used with 3 parts of humus soil or peat soil, 2 parts of garden soil, 3 parts of coarse sand or vermiculite, and mixed with a small amount of calcareous material such as bone powder. If water is accumulated in the potting soil during cultivation, it is easy to cause rotten roots. The plants can be taken out from the pots, the rotten roots can be removed, and the plants can be replanted after 5 to 7 days of drying. After the planting, the potting soil is slightly moist, and after growing new roots. Perform normal management. If you do not leave seeds after flowering, you should cut off the residual flowers in time to avoid plant results, consume too much nutrients, and affect growth.
