On June 2nd, the "DME-type rubber sealing material" enterprise standard issued by Yunnan Coal Chemical Technology Institute was implemented on June 1, 2010. This is the first corporate standard for domestic dimethyl ether rubber seal material products.
The Yunnan Coal Chemicals Institute of Applied Technology, in formulating the published "Dimethyl Ether Rubber Sealing Material" corporate standard, divides the dimethyl ether-resistant rubber materials into A and B categories. Class A is suitable for use in situations where long-term or complete exposure to dimethyl ether is used, such as liquefied dimethyl ether steel bottle valves; Class B is suitable for use in intermittent or partial exposure to dimethyl ether, such as regulators or pressure relief valves. The standard puts forward various technical control indexes of the product, and provides the determination basis for the detection method and application of the product quality of the DME-resistant rubber sealing material.
The successful development of a new type of dimethyl ether rubber seal material and the issuance of the "DME-type rubber seal material" corporate standard will facilitate the application and promotion of dimethyl ether products.
