Ductile iron pipes are protected by a 180 degree prime wall. The airtightness test needs to cover the cast iron pipe, if there is leakage, it needs to clean up the soil and break the prime work, which will inevitably affect the progress of the project.
In common project implementation methods, we generally adopt the following methods to check the airtightness of ductile iron pipes: Common methods for airtightness detection include bubble method, smear method, chemical gas tracer leak detection method, pressure change method, flow rate Law, ultrasonic method, and so on. The traditional method of detecting leaks uses bubble method and smearing method. The bubble method involves immersing the workpiece in water, filling it with compressed air, and collecting air bubbles leaking from it for a certain period of time to measure the amount of leakage. The smearing method is to apply a bubble-like liquid such as soapy water to a surface of a workpiece filled with a certain pressure, and observe the occurrence of air bubbles to detect the amount of leakage.
These two methods are simple to operate, and can directly observe the location and leakage of the leak. However, due to the leakage of parts and several leaks in advance, it is difficult to collect full bubbles and affect the accuracy of measurement. Secondly, it is bulky and bulky. Parts with complex external surfaces, air bubbles adhere to the bottom of the part and folds are not easy to observe; after the test, the workpiece needs to be cleaned and dried, and automatic and quantitative leak detection cannot be achieved.
