Customs statistics show that from January to June 2011, China's steel or copper standard fastener exports amounted to 2.202 billion US dollars, an increase of 41.5%, export volume of 1.252 million tons, an increase of 22.2%, the average export price was 1761 USD/ton, up 15.8% year-on-year. In June, the export value of China's steel or copper standard fasteners was US$425 million, up 27.6% year-on-year, and the export volume was 238,000 tons, up 12.0% year-on-year. The average export price was US$1,788/ton, up 13.9% year-on-year. . Compared with the first half of 2010, the export value of China's steel or copper standard fasteners was basically flat (40.5% in 2010), and the year-on-year growth rate decreased by about 23 percentage points (45.4% in 2010). The year-on-year growth rate increased by about 19 percentage points (-3.3% in 2010). 
In terms of export value, the United States, Russia and Japan are the main export markets for China's steel or copper standard fasteners. In the first half of 2011, China exported US$391 million to the US, up 44.7% year-on-year, and exported US$158 million to Russia, up 82.9% year-on-year, and exported US$146 million to Japan, up 23.4% year-on-year. The US market share was flat with the same period in 2010, with Russia increasing from 5.5% to 7.2% and Japan from 7.6% to 6.6%. In the first half of 2011, the export value of the top 10 export markets totaled 1.151 billion US dollars, accounting for 52.3% of the total export value of all steel or copper standard fasteners in China in the first half of the year.
