MiTek announces the launch of the new "Pneumatic Stud MiTek TECO". The product has a color marking and a head lettering to identify the length and diameter of the nail during or after installation.
This unique color and lettering mark allows the building inspector or installer to determine whether to use the correct nails to install MiTek's products without having to remove the nails for inspection. In addition, if the engineer needs to confirm that the nails used are correct, they can view the site and determine the appropriate fasteners by looking at the color of the nails and the lettering on the head.
The color and lettering logo of MiTek TECO is easy to understand:
      Bright nails: The color on the MiTek TECO bright nail indicates the length of the nail, and the number on the head indicates the diameter of the nail. Purple represents a 1-1/2" nail and blue represents a 2-1/2" nail. In terms of head text, #3 represents a diameter of 0.131 inches, #4 represents a diameter of 0.148 inches, and #6 represents a diameter of 0.162 inches.
      Hot dip galvanized nails: The head of the MiTek TECO hot dip galvanized nail has English word length (A = 1-1/2"; E = 2-1/2"), and the number indicates the diameter.
      MiTek TECO nails include bright colors, hot dip galvanized and stainless steel, which can be used with mainstream pneumatic nail guns. Certified by ASTM F1667 (ASTM A153) and also evaluated by ICC-ESR 3768 - 2015 and 2012 IRC/IBC.
