Tile retention strip "expansion joint" breathing space

Recently, the new house was renovated and Pharaoh took over supervision there every day. One day, the master is pasting the wall of the kitchen. Just a few pieces of paste, I found something wrong, he left a little gap between every two bricks, it does not look very beautiful. The Pharaoh asked: “Why should there be a clear gap between the tiles?

Master's answer

The master smiled and said: "You don't understand this, we manage it to be called expansion joint. If there is no gap between the tiles, you think, as summer temperatures rise, the tiles will expand and break! Therefore, when we give people a wall tile, we must leave such a gap. In fact, it is room for expansion of the wall tile.

If this is the case, and the wall tiles are still the same, is it not necessary for us to have such an "expansion joint" in our life?

I have seen such a story: There is a Buddhist disciple, working very seriously, but it has little effect. One day, he went to ask the teacher. When the master heard him, he gave him a gourd and a handful of salt. He said, “You filled the gourd with water, put salt in it, and let it melt quickly. After a while, he came again. To find the master, he said: "Master, the water is too full, and I cannot shake it. I want to use a spoon to stir it in. I can't go in too small a gourd mouth. Therefore, salinization can not! "The master smiled and said:" Oh, that's not easy to do, you first drain some of the water in the gourd, and then shake it hard to see how? The apprentice immediately did what the master said. Sure enough, the salt in the gourd soon melted.

People in the society, whether they are people or things, must learn to leave a "expansion joint." Leaving a "expansion joint" for life is actually creating more opportunities and space for development.

Two choices of tile left seams

There are generally two kinds of paving tile joints, wide seams and narrow seams.

Wide seam: It is generally used when paving antique tiles. Generally, it is left between 5-8mm. You can choose a seaming agent that is close to the color of the brick body and you can also choose a contrasting seaming agent to treat the brick seam.

Slits: Generally used when paving tiles, they are usually left between 1mm and 1.5mm. At the same time, the seaming agent is applied close to the color of the bricks. Attention must be paid when laying the tiles. It is necessary to consider the issue of thermal barrier shrinkage.

How to use the seaming agent for tile paving

In the process of paving, it is not easy to make bricks batter, the size of bricks has errors, leaving gaps, good regulation, there is room for the hot-going and cold-shrinking of bricks, and grouts add a more beautiful appearance.

(1) Add water to the vessel first, slowly add tile sealant, stir until evenly paste, and let stand for 3-5 minutes;

(2) Squeeze the tile sealant along the diagonal direction of the tile into the gap and let it stand for about 15 minutes;

(3) After the surface of the tile is dry, wipe the surface with a sponge or towel and remove the remaining caulking agent.

Doing things and being a person are inseparable from time to time. Tile seams are like being able to flex and stretch, and being too stubborn is easy to "problem." So, do you know that you want to leave the seams?

Tempered Glass

Tempered or toughened glass is a type of safety glass processed by controlled thermal to increase its strength compared with normal glass. Tempering puts the outer surfaces into compression and the interior into tension. Such stresses cause the glass, when broken, to crumble into small granular chunks instead of splintering into jagged shards as plate glass (a.k.a. annealed glass) does. The granular chunks are less likely to cause injury.

Tempered glass is often used in applications where using standard glass could pose a potential danger. Tempered glass is stronger than standard glass and does not shatter into large shards when broken. This is important, because it can greatly minimize potential danger in the case of a break. Manufactured through a process of extreme heating and rapid cooling, tempered glass is much harder than normal glass.

In the case that tempered glass does break, it shatters into small pebbles that are void of dangerous, sharp edges. As tempered glass is considered to be much safer than normal glass, you may often here it referred to as safety glass or TOUGHENED GLASS . Tempered glass has a wide variety of uses that you'll find just about everywhere. In fact, the shower doors in your bathroom or the side glass on a motor vehicle are examples of tempered glass.

Annealed glass can be processed into Clear Tempered Glass, Ultra Clear Tempered Glass, printed tempered glass, back painted tempered glass, tempered Laminated Glass, tempered Insulated Glass , tempered Vacuum Insulated Glass and so on, custom made on project request. Can be used for windows, doors, partitions, handrails, balcony, balustrade, fence, table top, decoration, kitchen splashbacks and so on.
