Nanjing International Automobile Hardware Technology Expo Center, a major project with a total investment of 7 billion yuan, is set to be established in Jiangning Hi-Tech Park. The center will occupy a planned land area of 500 acres and cover a total construction area of 1.3 million square meters. Located in the heart of Nanjing, it aims to serve the Yangtze River Delta region and extend its influence toward the central parts of China. This state-of-the-art complex combines production, technology, and information services, making it one of the most advanced business hubs in the country.
As the city continues to develop, many traditional markets—such as auto parts, hardware, electrical machinery, and construction equipment—have become outdated and are now facing relocation due to urban planning requirements. Last year, the city released the "Outline of Action Plan for Market Hub Construction (Draft for Soliciting Opinions)," which emphasized the need to restructure and relocate these markets to create modern service demonstration areas that can support economic growth in East China and the Yangtze River Delta.
In response, Jiangning Hi-Tech Park has developed a large-scale logistics and market park around Suihua New City on National Highway 104. This park is designed to host a cluster of specialized markets covering automobiles, auto parts, hardware, building materials, home furnishings, warehousing, and logistics. Among its key projects is the Nanjing International Automobile Hardware Technology Expo Center, a flagship initiative aimed at transforming the industry landscape.
According to the Jiangning High-tech Park Management Committee, the center will integrate multiple sectors including automotive parts, hardware, electromechanical products, construction machinery, new energy, and materials. It will offer exhibition spaces, trade platforms, warehousing, logistics, e-commerce, hotel services, office spaces, residential units, entertainment, and catering facilities. This comprehensive approach is expected to address the current issues of small-scale operations, scattered layouts, outdated infrastructure, and poor management that have long plagued the sector.
The design of the center draws inspiration from renowned global models such as the new Milan Trade Center in Italy and the Garak Market in Seoul, South Korea. It will feature high-end exhibition halls, brand flagship stores, and commercial pedestrian streets. Additionally, the center will include a 100,000-square-meter eco-friendly rooftop garden, setting a new standard for sustainable and modern commercial development. This innovative concept is anticipated to redefine the image and operation model of traditional professional markets, bringing them into the era of smart and green commerce.
