Most of the energy use is obtained through equipment erected on land. , so energy company Viteos is trying to create a solar island on the sea, about 25 meters in diameter, each island is equipped with 100 solar photovoltaic panels. This means that 71% of the world’s ocean area will become a treasure trove of future human energy.
Viteos emphasized that this solar island can still be in the R&D stage. The purpose is to create a more practical, portable and more energy-friendly energy. Viteos's technical director, Philippe Burri, later stated at the press conference that the solar island would absolutely adopt a non-polluting design and be able to withstand the erosion of seawater, wind and waves.
Viteos said that the solar island is expected to officially debut in May and August 2014, but it will take 25 years or even longer to develop a complete power supply system.
