It is understood that more than 90% of families in Europe and the United States will use paints for children. However, domestic consumers rarely know that lead compounds contained in paints and paints will enter children's bodies, which will lead to severe consequences of excessive blood lead levels in children. Coupled with the domestic children's single paint, lack of specialization and the lack of children's special paint industry standards and other issues, resulting in children's paint market is not yet mature.
China National Coatings Industry Association Secretary-General Yue Wang-kun said that children's paint VOC content is lower than other products, can continuously release negative oxygen ions, more suitable for children's room decoration use. However, at present, China does not formulate corresponding standards and regulations for children's paints from paint manufacturers to national policies, making it difficult for ordinary consumers to choose. In Europe and the United States, water-based paints have long been popular, and raw materials that are matched with them have long been low-lead and lead-free. The content of heavy metals in products and environmental protection requirements are also increasing.
In the past two years, some domestic brands have made great strides into the international market. Through participating in international competition and upgrading its core competitiveness, it has become one of the paths for upgrading China's paint industry.
