Zheng Cable manufactures copper-clad aluminum core power cables

Zhengzhou Cable (Group) Co., Ltd. has applied for a patent for a copper-clad aluminum conductor power cable and has already put this kind of power cable into production.

Copper clad aluminum core extruded insulation (PVC, XLPE) power cable is a new type of wire and cable. Copper clad aluminum is a new type of conductor material, which is copper and aluminum as the main material and produced through special processing technology. It makes full use of the respective characteristics of copper and aluminum and effectively compensates copper and aluminum conductors in wire and cable engineering. The disadvantages of the application, such as: high density of pure copper conductors, lack of domestic resources, high prices, and difficulty in laying, etc., aluminum conductors have low electrical conductivity, poor welding performance, easy oxidation of the surface, and large contact resistance. Copper-clad aluminum power cable has the characteristics of good electrical conductivity, easy welding, light weight, easy to lay and low cost, so it has been applied in the developed countries in Europe and America and has achieved good results.

The copper-clad aluminum core power cable developed by Zheng Cable uses heat-resistant PVC or heat-resistant XLPE as the insulating material. The long-term working temperature is as high as 105°C, and the transmission capacity is better than that of ordinary power cables. Other performance indicators conform to national or international standards.
